Tudor Oak are dedicated to making exceptional quality bespoke furniture and architectural joinery. All our products are hand-made in Britain, from sustainable timber, using many traditional methods and own unique polishing process.

Our aim is to continue building lasting relationships with our private clients, by offering exceptional customer service based on individual approach to each job, however big or small.  We strive to build partnerships with fellow professionals, designers, architects and specifiers by helping them achieve their creative vision.

We employ the best professionals in their field, who are highly skilled, committed and motivated, with a passion for the material and the products, and an ability to interpret creative ideas to meet our clients’ needs.

You can see the extensive collection of our furniture and take a tour of workshops at our showroom in Kent or, if more convenient, visit one of our retailers.

Tudor Oak has been buying its own oak timber logs directly from the English and European forests at the point of felling, for over 30 years.

The Tudor Oak Furniture catalogue and archive boast more than five hundred designs.

The Great Table

Early in 1980, the idea of making an extremely large English oak table was conceived by three independent furniture makers. This idea further developed into the project of making possibly the longest English oak table on record. The result was a table over 40 feet (12 metres), with sixteen turned legs, carved frieze and leg brackets, stretchers all round, made in the traditional manner in the workshops of Tudor Oak. The timber used was seasoned English oak grown in Kent and Sussex, felled and cut many years ago; in fact, just after the Second World War. To make the top one whole log twenty two feet long (over 6.5 m) was used. On Saturday, August 23rd 1980, the table was used for a Mediaeval Feast in the Great barn of Knebworth House, near Stevenage, Hertfordshire by kind permission of the Knebworth Estates. The Feast was attended by many well-known people, including members of aristocracy.

Tudor Oak Furniture has a core team of experienced, knowledgeable and passionate people, who take inspiration from history and believe that good design and high quality of craftsmanship should and can complement modern living.
